Wan posted a tweet with him leaning against an Aquaman wall, with hints of Wonder Woman which implies it is a huge Justice League backdrop. This could mean that everything between Wan, Aquaman and Warner Bros. are not as chaotic as the rumors make out to be.

In another tweet, Wan requested fans to stop harassing the writer who is believed to be the source of the rumor Devin Faraci.

The film will be Wan’s first superhero motion picture and will also be his third non-horror flick to date. He is known to have directed “Furious 7” which starred Vin Diesel and the late Paul Walker. Wan is most known for his horror films Saw, Insidious and The Conjuring.

The Aquaman movie will star Jason Momoa as the titular character who is quite known as Khal Drogo from the “Game of Thrones” TV show. He was also briefly shown as such superhero in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” when Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) and Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) where investigating Lex Luthor’s (Jesse Eisenberg) files. Coincidentally, he was also in the cast of TV show “Stargate Atlantis” and Aquaman’s place of origin is Atlantis. Mera, the spouse of Aquaman, will be portrayed by Amber Heard. There are rumors that the film will feature Ocean Master, Aquaman’s rival and half-brother to be played by Karl Urban. Simon Baker and Matt Damon were initially considered for the Aquaman role.

The plot for the “Aquaman” movie is yet to be revealed but it is certain that the DC comic film will be available in theaters this July 27, 2018.
